The Sierra Leone's Ministry of Transport and Aviation welcomes the United States Coast Guard Cutter Mohawk to the Freetown Queen Elizabeth II Quay Ports

The Sierra Leone's Ministry of Transport and Aviation in collaboration with the Maritime Administration and Ports Authority welcome the United States Coast Guard Cutter Mohawk to the Freetown Queen Elizabeth 11 Quay.

As a nation we are excited to welcome another vessel to the Port after a week stay of the United States Marine gun boat owing to the fact that Maritime security is critical for the country’s prosperity and access to global markets.

The USCGC Mohawk will stay at the ports for a few days. Following the port visit, the Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Dr. Juldeh Jalloh, the General Manager of the Sierra Leone Ports Authority Dr. Abdulai Fofana  and the Maritime Wing will do a tour  at the United States Coast Guard Cutter Mohawk vessel at the Ports ,after which the crew of the Mohawk will partner with the Sierra Leone Maritime Wing on joint operations at sea, as part of the U.S.-Sierra Leone joint operations and training to support our common goal of ensuring safety, security, and freedom of navigation at sea.
